It sort of brings out the curiousity in you doesn’t it? What is going to happen on the 18th of May?
The ads are basically teasers for the launch of 6 flavoured fizzy drinks.

What you can see from here is an offline marketing that leverages on various elements to create many question marks in viewers’ mind:
- Curiousity - What’s going on on the 18th?
- Surprise - What will I be drinking from the can?
- Entertainment - The ads sure looks cute and funny…
The thing I’m trying to bring across here is how this applies to Internet Marketing. The concept used in Internet Marketing comes from offline marketing, only difference is the medium we use, which is the Internet.
How the concepts can be applied to Internet Marketing and your products / services? For example, if you were to create an opt-in page, you can put in the element of curiousity to get visitors wanting to know what’s next after they opt-in.
You can also apply the surprise elements such as un-announced bonus gifts that exceeds their expectation, creating a sense of “over delivering” and “value for money”.
Most people are too stressed out from work, they like entertainment, a good laugh. Thus, you can have funny graphics, entertaining sales page or even blog postings to catch their attention.
One thing to note, don’t over-use…

This was a good article. It is so true, you can apply the same strategies to online marketing as offline marketing. Being creative is what will put you above the rest. I know that I for one would rather laugh than anything else. Curiosity killed the cat but gets the man’s attention every time
