I’m sure after you’ve optimised your content or website for a certain keyword, you would like to find out where you’re ranked.

It’s definitely time consuming if you do it manually, and most likely you’ll give up after searching through just the first few pages of keyword results. But knowing your ranking, be it 50, 90 or even 100 do make alot of difference, especially knowing how well your current strategy is working.

I’ve recently found a free tool….Yes, FREE! That you can track your ranking for various keywords across major search engines, and I played with it…

Ranking of My Blog in Google, Yahoo and MSN Based on Keywords

Off my head, I selected a few keywords related to my blog and pop into this program called Rank Tracker. With the keyword “Online Business Success”, I’m ranked 35, 91 and 51 repectively in Google, Yahoo and MSN. From the stored results generated on the days which I’ve ran the program, it can generate a graph as follow:

Obviously, I’ve only ran the program twice, thus giving me a linear result.

Basically, some keywords are quite hard for me to compete, but interestingly, I’m ranked 25 in MSN for “Johnny Wimbrey”.
