Alexa ranking and Google page ranking are the two main indicators to determine the popularity of a website / blog or it’s individual pages. As you can see from my stats in the right side bar, www.vernlai.com is currently ranked at 163,648 of all the websites in the Internet with a Google Page Ranking of 1 out of 10.
Increasing Alexa ranking to around 100,000 and having page ranking of 3 is not hard to achieve as long as you know what to do.
One way to increase page ranking is to have more backlinks to the page. Although not necessary an accurate indication, the chart below does give us an idea of around how many backlinks we need to achieve in order to increase our page ranking.
For example, to acquire a page rank of 3 (PR3), we need 555 backlinks from PR1 or 4 backlinks from PR4 and etc…
